editorial illustration for mask magazine
Pushing my visual language out of its usual sugary overcoat I had one of the most interesting editorial illustration experiences, drawing for the article "Fast fashion is challenging the retail apocalypse narrative" that appeared in Mask Magazine, "an online style + living magazine for antagonist youth based in Brooklyn, NY". The article takes on a new angle on fast fashion, a subject that had its share of attention in the past years, but never from the point of view of someone who works there. At least, I never thought of it in this manner. In fact, I never thought of the slowly changing shopping experience both for us, the consumers and for the people working for such stores.
